A Visit to Buckingham Palace...

Just prior to the half term break Landewednack School was very proudly represented at the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in honour of the RNLI’s 200th Anniversary celebrations.

Teaching Assistant & Lizard Lifeboat Press Officer Lyndsay Bray, along with school Secretary Sue Tattersall accompanied their husbands and the Second Coxswain and his wife, to the Place in recognition of the long service medals they had each been awarded last year.

Landewednack School has always had very strong links with The Lizard Lifeboat Station. Many of the children have family involved within the RNLI and we are proud to boast that former pupils now serve as lifeboat and shore crew members. We visit the station throughout the school year reminding our children of the importance of sea safety and eagerly await our invitation each December for our choir to sing on the lifeboat (within the station) at the annual “Lizard Lifeboat Christmas Carolaire”.
